1. Creating (OU), adding and configuring User accounts

I will first start by creating an Organizational Unit (OU), this can be described as a folder that keeps users and groups. They are used to make administration easier, as they allow admins to assign specific permissions to a group of users. OU's can be used to separate a company's employees into different departments. For example you can have an OU for ''Marketing'' , ''Production'' or ''Human Resources''. Or if the company spans multiple locations OU's can be the different offices, ''Glasgow Office'' , ''Manchester Office'' etc.

So how do you create an OU? The process start by selecting the ''Active Directory Users and Computers'' from the ''Tools'' menu on your Server Manager Dashboard. Once there you can see your forests and Domain Controller - in my case I can see VCorp.local . I can simply right click on it and select ''New'' > ''Organizational Unit''. On the screenshot below I have created a few OU's for marketing, sales and accounting.
