RELAX HUB

   The project was designed during stage 2. The scenario and aim of the scheme are as follows: To provide Aberdeen University Campus and and residents with a place for relaxation. Recently there has been an increasing demand for universities to provide counselling service. The project is an opportunity to include counselling spaces, however the function of it is not to be solely dedicated to counselling.   The schedule of accommodation will include a café on the lower level and a large flexible space. The studio can be used for yoga, dancing classes, movie nights or other purposes. The site is located between Elphinstone Road and High Street within Aberdeen University Campus. The building is positioned in a way which allows for a new connecting street to be created. The large flexible space protrudes to draw attention. Together with the café they are a part of the transparent part of the building that allow passing people a view inside. While the counselling spaces are located on the upper level as a part of the solid part of the building
